West Chester, PA – February 6, 2024 – MacElree Harvey, Ltd. is proud to announce the reappointment of our distinguished colleague, Judge Lou Mincarelli, to the Chester County Court of Common Pleas. Judge Mincarelli was nominated by Governor Josh Shapiro and sponsored by Senator Tracy Pennycuick.
Judge Mincacrelli testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in Harrisburg and received confirmation from the full Senate on Tuesday, February 4th. The swearing-in ceremony will be held on Monday, February 10th, at the Chester County Justice Center in West Chester, where MacElree Harvey Partner Brian Nagle will speak among a group of distinguished presenters. Following the ceremony, the Chester County Bar Association (CCBA) will host a reception, providing an opportunity for members of the CCBA and the broader legal community to warmly welcome Judge Mincarelli back to the bench.
Since joining MacElree Harvey in January 2024, Judge Mincarelli has been an integral part of our Litigation Department. He practices commercial litigation, criminal defense law, family law, litigation law, and mediation and arbitration. His extensive experience and dedication to justice have greatly enhanced our firm’s capabilities and reputation.
Judge Mincarelli’s legal career began with a commitment to victim advocacy in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. After graduating from Temple University Beasley School of Law, he served as an Assistant District Attorney under the legendary Lynne Abraham. His career has been marked by a profound dedication to justice and a deep understanding of the legal challenges faced by diverse communities, having presided over Criminal, Family and Juvenile cases as a Judge in his last term.

In addition to his judicial duties, Judge Mincarelli is actively involved in community service, including his role as a Committee Member for Boy Scouts Glenmore Troop 79, a member of the Steering Committee for Innovate Chester County, a member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy, and a member of St. Anthony’s Lodge in Downingtown, reflecting his commitment to serving the community both inside and outside the courtroom.
